Easy, Extra-Fudgey Salted Caramel Christmas tree brownies
If there’s one dessert I take very seriously, it’s brownies. They should be soft, gooey, super decadent and of course, extra chocolatey. For someone who loves brownies as much as I do, you might think I have a super secret recipe hidden up my sleeve. Actually, it’s quite the opposite. My go-to brownie recipe features a standard box of grocery store brownie mix (though I am particular about the brand and type) with a few personal additions to the ingredients and baking process.
If you’re looking for a simple, delicious recipe to share with friends, family or coworkers this season, these salted caramel christmas tree brownies are sure to be a hit!
- Prepare a box of Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie mix as normal
- Add in half a bag of dark chocolate chips/chunks
- Cook on middle rack according to directions on box (I like to subtract a few minutes to make mine extra gooey)
- Once pan has cooled on the counter, pop it in the freezer for 25 minutes to help the gooey parts of the batter solidify
- Cut the brownies into triangles
- Top with melted caramel and course sea salt
- Enjoy!
